What a treat to have the "last local beach club" next door to our condo. It has so many benefits to our guests. The first of them is that it is literally a few steps from your front door whether you exit the front or the beach side of the building. Dress as you wish (including swim suits and flip flops) to enjoy all that Schooners has to offer.
Schooners is also a wonderful place to listen to some local bands play some of your favorite songs on the inside stage. This happens nightly during the summer and on the weekends at other times of the year. On your way out, grab on of their t-shirts. They make great souvenirs and are comfortable with a local flavor.
INSIDER TIP:
Try the blackened grouper sandwich. It is delicious! And ask for a beach side table for the best view and dining experience.
A relaxing day at the beach still could use an activity - especially if you have kids. Try sandcastle lessons on your next trip. This is a great way to have some group fun and lean something new. We recommend Beach Sand Sculptures (
beachsandsculptures.com
) for your lessons.
INSIDER TIP:
Schedule your session online prior to your trip for the best choice of available times. Also let your kids volunteer for the beginning race during your session (you'll understand once you see the results).
I'm guessing this is one of the top things you are dreaming about doing on your trip. The beach at Mango Sunsets will not disappoint you. Our building is in a residential area and near the state park. There is plenty of space to spread out even on the busiest beach days. And at certain times of the year, it feels like you have the beach all to yourself.
INSIDER TIP:
Look closely and you'll see bottle-nose dolphins and even a manatee or two swim by the condo.
